Welcome to HomeRoutine ("we", "our", or "us"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy details how HomeRoutine collects, uses, processes, stores, and safeguards your information when you use our mobile application and website services.
1. Purpose of HomeRoutine
HomeRoutine is a household utility and financial tracking application designed to help individuals and family members manage daily household expenses, record milk/grocery deliveries, track maid & staff attendance, record electricity/water meter readings, manage bill reminders, and sync data seamlessly across family devices.
2. Solo Mode & Information We Collect
HomeRoutine supports two operational modes: Solo Mode and Family Mode.
- Solo Mode (No Account Required): You can use HomeRoutine 100% offline without creating an account, registering, or signing in. In Solo Mode, all your household tracking entries (milk, maid attendance, utility bills) remain stored strictly on your local device storage (such as `Documents/HomeRoutine/homeroutine.dat`) and are never sent to external cloud servers.
- Optional Family Sharing (Google Sign-In): Google Sign-In is strictly optional and required only if you choose to set up or join a Family Group. When you sign in with Google, we access basic profile details (email address, display name, and profile photo URL) to authenticate your account and display your attribution to family members.
- Household & Financial Tracking Data: Data you explicitly enter into the application, including household items, daily usage logs, utility meter readings, bill payment records, and family group memberships.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for legitimate operational purposes:
- To provide instant offline access in Solo Mode without requiring any user registration or sign-in.
- To authenticate your identity securely via Google Sign-In when enabling Family Mode.
- To synchronize household tracking data in real-time across authorized family members.
- To calculate monthly household expense totals, staff salary calculations, and utility reminders.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance (Limited Use)
HomeRoutine's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Limited Purpose: Google account data (email address, name, photo) is used exclusively for account authentication and user identity display within Family Mode.
- No Selling or Transfer: We do never sell, rent, trade, or transfer your Google user data to third parties, advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.
- No AI Model Training: Your Google user data is not used to train machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
- No Prohibited Content: HomeRoutine does not generate, process, or use Google APIs for Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) or any prohibited content.
5. Data Storage, Security & Retention
In Solo Mode, your data is stored locally on your phone (`Documents/HomeRoutine/homeroutine.dat`). In Family Mode, your shared family data is stored securely using Google Firebase Cloud Firestore (Project ID: homeroutine-app) and encrypted in transit via TLS/SSL and at rest on Google Cloud infrastructure. Strict Firestore security rules ensure that your household data is accessible only by verified members of your family group.
6. Account & Data Deletion Requests
You have full control over your data:
- Solo Mode Data Reset: You can completely delete all your local database records and persistent `.dat` files anytime using the "Reset All Data" option in app settings.
- Family Mode Leave / Delete: Family members can leave a family anytime (which reverts their app to Solo Mode with blank data). Family Owners can delete the family household, which permanently erases all cloud family data for all members.
- Account Deletion: If you wish to request complete deletion of your account and all associated cloud data, please email us at homeroutine.app@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request". We will process your request within 48 hours.
